ACMF Celebrates Drug Free Clubs of America Recognition & Donates LifeVac Devices to Local Schools

Adams County Medical Foundation (ACMF) Director Cherish Williams and Chair Tami Graham were honored to be invited to the Ohio Valley School District board meeting in May to watch leaders and members of the Drug Free Clubs of America (DFCA) be recognized.

The Adams County Youth Prevention Coalition, an organization within ACMF that works to prevent substance abuse in Adams County’s youth, was instrumental in bringing the DFCA to OVSD schools and hopes to offer the program to Manchester and Adams County Christian School next year as well. The program has been very successful in its first year.

ACMF also recently purchased LifeVac devices for all local schools, and Cherish and Tami presented one at the meeting. The device is meant to assist in choking incidents. The Foundation was pleased to provide such important equipment for our students.

Investing in prevention, recognition, and safety — for the health and future of Adams County’s youth.
