The Adams County Medical Foundation celebrated a landmark achievement at its annual Gala on Friday, October 3, held at The Willow, where nearly 300 attendees helped raise more than $121,000 — the highest total in the event's history. The funds will directly support the Foundation's mission to expand access to high-quality healthcare throughout Adams and Brown Counties.

This year's Gala was an extraordinary demonstration of community generosity. As our sole fundraiser of the year, the Gala plays a vital role in sustaining the programs and services we provide.
Cherish Williams — Foundation Director

"Experiencing this event for the first time, I was overwhelmed by the kindness and commitment shown by our attendees and sponsors," Williams continued. "Their support allows us to continue advancing medical research, improving patient care, and ensuring that every individual in our community has access to exceptional healthcare."

Throughout the evening, guests participated in a variety of fundraising activities:

Silent Auction
Split‑the‑Pot
Card Raffle
Treasure Chest
Live Auction

A Moment of Inspiration

A particularly moving moment occurred when event emcee Don Bowles of Dreamcatcher Communications shared the story of his mother's battle with breast cancer. His remarks inspired a spontaneous donation to the Foundation's Car for the Cure program, which provides funding for mammograms for local residents.

A wave of matching gifts followed Don Bowles' personal testimony, with attendees rallying together to fund life-saving mammograms and breast cancer screenings for local residents.

"Putting on an event of this size is definitely a team effort," Williams added. "We are deeply grateful to our community, our sponsors, the Foundation Board, and the Gala Committee for their unwavering support and dedication."

The Adams County Medical Foundation continues its work year-round to secure philanthropic support through donations, grants, and partnerships. These resources help strengthen local healthcare services, expand access to care, and support programs that directly benefit residents across Adams and Brown counties.
