April 3, 2026 — The Adams County Medical Foundation hosted their annual scholarship luncheon, awarding a total of $13,000 in scholarships to nine outstanding students pursuing careers in healthcare.

The Foundation awarded eight $1,000 scholarships and one $5,000 scholarship to deserving students across Adams County. The Esther Moore Chandler Scholarship, valued at $5,000, is uniquely designed to support a student throughout their entire college pathway. This year, both the Stevens family and the Mathias family generously doubled their donations, each funding two scholarships.
2026 Scholarship Recipients

Kiersten is attending The Ohio State University, where she is pursuing a Doctor of Audiology degree.


Kelsey is attending the University of Cincinnati and plans to become a Speech-Language Pathologist.

Hunter is attending Northern Kentucky University to obtain a degree in physical therapy.

Braxlynn is a pharmacy graduate student at Cedarville University.


Chesnee is attending Morehead University, studying respiratory care.


Ryan is a senior at Manchester High School and plans to attend Shawnee State University to pursue a degree in physical therapy.


Liam is a senior at West Union High School and plans to attend Morehead University to study radiologic technology.

Alisha is a senior at Adams County Christian School and plans to attend Shawnee State University to study radiologic technology.


Molly is a student at Ohio University pursuing a Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology. Molly will continue to receive this scholarship annually until she completes her studies.
